The ERA’s membership year runs from September to September. Two types of membership are available: individual membership costing £100.00; or corporate membership at £400.00, which entitles a company to name a group of four members or more (within reason) who will receive all member benefits (when applying for corporate membership each person must submit an application form).

Benefits of ERA membership include:

• The opportunity to network with other researchers.
• An annual Conference covering relevant topics with excellent speakers, chance to debate the issues that arise and, as they are so well attended, an excellent chance to network.
• An annual workshop, free to members.
• An annual Summer Party held in June/July offering members a chance to review the year, to recommend improvements and as a social event.
• Website for members, including access to discussion forums on topics relevant to search and research, links to essential resources and a chat room to seek advice from other researchers.
• For independents, affiliation to an industry body gives prospective clients confidence and the knowledge that minimum standards are being practised.
